PotteryNancy Condit, a Colorado native, studied fine arts at the University of Northern Colorado, Loretto Heights College and Utah State University. Her primary focus has been porcelain ceramics, a field in which she has mastered high-fired glazes which reflect her bold and colorful brush strokes. Shifting her attention to watercolor painting, Ms. Condit has continued to develop an abstract style of her own. She has taught watercolor classes and workshops for over 15 years.

Ms. Condit and her late father, the renowned watercolorist William Condit, founded the Sand Dollar Studio and Gallery in Denver (1256 South Pearl Street, 303-871-8028). Ms. Condit’s paintings and porcelain can be found in many fine galleries throughout Colorado, as well as in Key West, Florida.

Artist’s Statement

I approach creating art with great freedom. I like my pieces to dance with dynamic colors, opaques and metallics that express my passion and spontaneity. With direct and bold brush strokes, my porcelain and watercolors come alive.
