Would you like to sing with us?

If you are a singer who is interested in auditioning for the Columbine Chorale, we encourage you to contact our Music Director, Brian Eichenberger, at 303-322-5119 or the Chorale by e-mail at info@columbinechorale.org. At the moment (fall of 2007) we are particularly seeking low basses but we are always interested in talking with singers with quality voices in all voice parts. Even more importantly, we are looking for singers who are interested in a challenging experience, in participating in the performance of the world's great choral literature and in joining in the enthusiasm and camaraderie that has always been part of the Columbine Chorale.

The audition will be focused on determining voice range and quality. Applicants will be asked to present a short classical piece or hymn - a piece that will show off the singer's voice to its best advantage. In addition, the director will lead you through a series of exercises to determine your ability to follow pitch sequences and rhythms as well as to determine sight reading facility. The audition should take about 15 minutes.

The Columbine Chorale usually operates within a rehearsal and concert season that begins in early September and ends around the end of May. We generally rehearse Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 9:00 at Highlands United Methodist Church, 3131 Osceola Street (at West 32nd Avenue in the Highland Park neighborhood of Denver).

Anti-discrimination statement:

Accordingly, the Chorale maintains a firm policy of non-exclusion of membership in the Chorale for any reason relating to race, creed, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, marital status, gender, sexual orientation, age, physical disability, veteran status or political affiliation.
